Cynthia is an expert in growing brands and businesses and has over 20 years of general management experience in premiere marketing-driven organizations. She founded the Momentum Strategy Group, LLC, to help clients challenged with issues of consumer preference, brand differentiation and topline growth.
Prior to founding the Momentum Strategy Group, Cynthia served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Starbucks where she had global responsibility for the Starbucks brand, product management, R&D, research and design. Cynthia Vahlkamp has held other executive marketing positions at Quaker Oats (Pepsico), Sunbeam, CompuServe (Time-Warner) and General Foods (Kraft).
Cynthia serves on the board of both Roasting Plant Coffee, Inc. and Arts Alliance, a non-profit organization in Illinois. She is a native of St. Louis and received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of California, Berkeley in Economics and Chinese and her graduate degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School.
